BESPOKE FOOD TOURS
Visit us here on the Matakana Coast and Chef will take you to visit some of our local artisan food producers @ their place - where the magic happens! If you are interested in wine, we can also arrange a wine-tasting at a local vineyard for you too!
After having lived in the area since 2005, we are privileged to know personally a number of local artisan food producers in the Matakana Coast area - from Puhoi to Pakiri. During our bespoke food tours Chef will take you to visit some of these wonderful people at their place. Many of these people are not generally open to the public, so this is the only way you will get onsite to hear their stories, taste their products and witness first hand the spectacular array of foods actually produced here on the Matakana Coast. Touring with Chef enables you to get an insiders view into some of the best quality foods produced in New Zealand. Matakana Coast is indeed foodie heaven. Not only do you get to see these products being produced, and meet the local people who are so passionate about producing them, but Chef can get you tasting them and learning all about why they are such spectacular foods to enjoy and cook with in the kitchen. |
Visits: We will work with you to choose from our list of local artisans, to maximise the value of your day.
Timing: Our tours are bespoke, so can be arranged at any day/time to suit, but we recommend a minimum of 3 -4 hours. Full day tours can also be arranged - there are no shortage of places to visit!
Cost: This depends on the number of guests and the duration of the tour. Some clients wish to also take in some of the spectacular scenery en route, and include a vineyard meal in their day. Please contact us for a quote.
Transport: Transport can be arranged to and from Auckland at an additional cost

"Having tour with Chef Mark was awesome, I have been visit some place which is are give me knowledge and some idea how they handle and produce NZ products especially in Auckland region, beside Chef Mark are fun to talk with, so my tour are amazing but too short though, next time I will take whole day with him, thank you Chef Mark for a lovely tour...see you next time...cheers..." |
