We still have a few spaces left in our Best Winter Comfort Foods class coming up soon. WHEN: Sunday June 25th 11am-2 pm. WHERE: The Local Food Kitchen, 989c Matakana Road, Matakana Village Max Class Size: 8 people Cost: $120 pp On the last Sunday of each month, Chef runs a special Sunday Session - focusing on one area of cooking. Spaces are limited to 8, and it is a hands-on cooking class in a warm, welcoming environment. This class is about making the best wintry comfort food recipes ever. Turning fibrous structures in to soft gelatinous sticky taste sensations (and that's before the sweet course!). Nom nom nom...... This class is great for people of all levels and is a small hands on class. All of our cooking classes are held in our purpose built commercial kitchen in Matakana, with experienced Chef lecturer Mark Griffiths. |

Bringing The Local Food Kitchen to Matakana, in such an idyllic countryside setting, is the start of realising my dream of creating a Matakana Local Food Kitchen to promote our own fabulous local fare. TLFK enables me to share with others the spectacular tastes and flavours of our locally grown produce, the opportunity to hear the stories of those who have grown or produced them with such passion and also the joy in creating wonderful dishes using such quality seasonal ingredients.
